This week on Project Runway, the contestants were forced to transform hideous bridesmaid dresses in to runway-ready looks. The models? Real bridesmaids. Surprisingly, most of the designers churned out some pretty cute stuff! Kudos! And kudos as well to Michael Kors for being extra hilarious this week – the Kors Quotes were easy to choose.
But we really must ask – why does everyone hate Michael C? Did he steal Ivy’s boyfriend? Did he run over Gretchen’s cat? What is it about him that inspires such violent hatred? We just don’t understand!! The bizarre Michael C hatred really exploded when the designers had to present in a showcase where 100 random people voted on their looks. Ivy inexplicably spread word that Michael C was trying to convince people not to vote for her. We saw nothing to suggest this, and Michael C completely denied it. Did someone (like a Lifetime crew member) tell her he did this? We are aware that on reality shows, networks manipulate footage to show people in a certain way, but we just can’t imagine Michael C being that bad. Click ahead to find out who was in, who was Auf’d, and if anyone was murdered in their sleep.

Aside from mass destruction and environmental chaos in 2012, Steve Madden could own Betsey Johnson, if she can’t manage to pay a $48.8 million dollar loan she requested from Madden. Madden, who already holds a license for handbags, small leather goods, belts and umbrellas under the Betsey Johnson and Betseyville umbrella, could take over the brand if Johnson fails to pay the collateral for the loan which includes the company’s intellectual property. Otherwise meaning, Betsey needs to come up with the coin (quick) to get the hold onto her fledging empire.
In an economy where major brands like American Apparel are tanking, Madden continues to soar. In addition to his own Steve Madden stores, he does shoes for Madonna’s Material Girl line, just bought handbag brand Big Buddah for a cool $11 million, and invested $5 million in Bakers Footwear Group. So could Madden be the fashion industry savior? Guess we have to wait for that answer in 2012.

But were the shoes still cute the morning after, or did we take something home we’d be embarrassed to bring around our friends? Click ahead to find out whether Call it Spring is worth a trip.

After rumors and industry gossip hoopla, it is confirmed that Lanvin and Alber Elbaz are collaborating with H&M for a holiday collection. Comprised of both womenswear and menswear, the collection will release on November 23 to over 200 H&Ms worldwide and will feature Elbaz and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver signature cuts and tailoring.
Elbaz who commented, “I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public.”.
H&M going luxurious? With Elbaz behind it, could our fairy tale dream of true? Guess we will tell come November. [Dailymail.UK]

In the fashion world, Rachel Zoe is like the ultimate celebrity – she sits front row at every show, shares “non-fashion love” with Marc Jacobs and has more Chanel jackets than there were noodles in the bowl of Ramen we had for dinner. Thus, we find it hard to imagine that the great Zoe could possibly be star struck by anyone – but on last night’s Rachel Zoe Project, we learn she can, and that that someone is Kate Hudson. Half of this episode consists of Rachel obsessing over Kate and how “intoxicating her energy is” to the point where it was almost bizarre. Don’t get us wrong, we love Kate too, but seriously… Other lessons learned last night were that vintage is awesome, husbands are annoying and gay husbands are even more annoying. Click ahead to relive the drama in real-time!
